I got a part-time job teaching a class of pre-intermediate students for the next 3 weeks! Classes are from 9am-12pm everyday. Looking forward to the real life experience, but also starting to wonder whether it was a wise move to take up the job since I still have so many other commitments? e.g. OCF, Bible college (1 unit), preparations for missions (interviews, courses etc.)
Well, it's only for 3 weeks. I'll see how it goes after that - whether I can cope with the workload. If not, I just won't take up the next available job.
One of the biggest challenges now is having to teach for a much longer duration of time. The longest I've ever taught for was a one-hour lesson, and now having to prepare for 2.5hour long lessons everyday is starting to be a nightmare! It's also a little distressing because I have yet to meet my class, so I have absolutely NO idea who they are, what they're like, etc. I guess I'll find out very soon on Monday.
