a day's work

Tiring day...

Put in the finishing touches to the Bible study on Esther 6 which I'm rostered to lead tomorrow at my Subi BS group. I'm really loving the book of Esther... Having done 1 assignment, 1 sermon and BS on the 1st 5 chapters so far, I realise there is just HEAPS to learn from it.

Although the whole book does not mention the word 'God', the book is just dripping with God' s fingerprints of providence. It really is encouraging to be reminded that God continues to work despite obvious disaster (e.g. the announcement of the annihilation of the Jews), and how God uses the most ordinary of people to work for his purposes (e.g. Esther, before made queen, was merely an orphaned, Jewish girl.. all 3 not-so-favourable characteristics in a foreign land). Not to mention the encouragement (when applied to OCF) that God can raise up others to do his work when there seems to be no one to continue the leadership (cf Esther 4: 14).

Anyway....

Met up with 2 girls at Murdoch Uni to catch up.. its great to just be able to chat and then pray together. I reckon I'd do more of this next year too.. hopefully it won't be just empty resolutions!

OCF Committee meeting has been cancelled tonight, which means I get to catch Guy Sebastian performing in the Aust Idol results show tonight! Whooopieee! Providence! =P Oops.. okok, bad example.. =P

I wonder how some of my Canberran friends are doing.. haven't called them for a while.. hmm...
